Armada Middle Academy of Arts and Sciences' (AMA2S) offers a 6th, 7th and 8th grade integrated program that focuses on accelerated learning and problem solving. Our students are encouraged to take risks, make mistakes and learn from these experiences. Through these experiences, students learn to take responsibility for their own learning and become independent thinkers.

Annual student-designed research projects engage students in the real life application of math and science concepts, and provide the studnets with opportunities to integrate technology and creative arts concepts into their learning experience.

The Armada Middle Academy of Arts and Sciences' courses are taught in a unique way. The program is designed to integrate the mathematics curriculum and technology into the science activities wherever it is appropriate. Because AMA2S runs a block schedule of approximately 3 hours each morning, the teachers are free to structure the time to best meet the needs of the students and the type of learning that is taking place. Therefore, the schedule may look different every day at AMA2S. Teachers use a combination of direct instructions, integrated instruction, individual and small group projects, as well as whole class real world experiences in order to achieve the objectives of the AMA2S curriculum.
