AMA2S is a new and highly innovative middle school academy based on the successful honors level high school program – the Macomb Academy of Arts and Sciences (MA2S). Students in this accelerated half-day program will undertake rigorous science and mathematics coursework in a unique hands-on learning environment.
Annual student-designed research projects will engage students in the real life application of math and science concepts and provide them with opportunities to integrate technology and creative arts concepts into their learning experiences. Our students will be encouraged to take risks, make mistakes and learn from these experiences. Through these experiences students will learn to take responsibility for their own learning and become independent learners and thinkers.
