Each time a student takes an Accelerated Reader test, it is automatically scored by the computer. If the student does well, a congratulatory note is displayed along with the number right, the number wrong and the number of points the student earned for that test. The total points possible, total points earned, average percent correct and the average reading level of books the student has tested on is also displayed on the screen.

If the student does not pass a test (achieves a score of 60% or less), no score is shown, and an encouraging note to try again is displayed.
