Mr. Phillip A. Jankowski

Mr. Jankowski served as assistant principal for curriculum with the Fitzgerald Public Schools since 2004. Prior to this, he taught high school English, computers and video programming. He is a past Macomb County Teacher of the Year. Mr. Jankowski has presented at a Michigan Department of Public Health conference for special needs children and the 2008 Michigan Governor's Education Summit. Also, he presents at state and local educational workshops. He is presently enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Educational Leadership at Oakland University. Mr. Jankowski and his wife, Kelly, have two children.

Welcome to Armada High School!

It has been my pleasure to serve as the Assistant Principal of AHS since 2002. Plenty has changed since my first year of teaching Social Studies here back in 1999. Our school has experienced growth in enrollment, as well as curriculum offerings. Considering our size, Armada students are provided a fairly wide range of course electives and experiences. My educational background began just down the road as a graduate of Romeo High School in 1989. I earned a BA in Communication from the University of Michigan in 1993 and a second BA from Eastern Michigan University in 1997. While teaching in Armada, I completed my MA in Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership at Oakland University in 2002. I also earned an EdS in School Administration from Oakland University in 2005.

Communication is critical for our school to best serve our students and parents. Please never hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding policies, academic issues, or other campus matters. I also make myself available to provide tours to parents and students considering enrollment at AHS.
